Main Event: Lawler vs. Dos Anjos Results

Welterweight Fight: Robbie Lawler vs. Rafael Dos Anjos

Round 1: Both men sell shots in the opening round. Lawler fights Dos Anjos into the corner. Dos Anjos locks up with him and hits him with knee shots to the ribs. Both men dodge, duck, and strike. Lawler fights Dos Anjos into the enclosure again. Dos Anjos binds onto Lawler and prevents him from alighting those fatal shots. Dos Anjos is all over Lawler who sneaks in physique shots and knee strikes. Lawler breaks out. Dos Anjos throws a shot and misses wildly. Both men are jockeying for position as turn one comes to an end.

Round 2: Both men trade shots. Rafael Dos Anjos goes wild, fighting Robbie Lawler into the cage. Dos Anjos hits Lawler in the jaw with a high knee and then fires divided with a flurry of shots. Dos Anjos threw a sum of 48 punches. Lawler escapes, but Dos Anjos takes him to the mat. Lawler fast earnings to his feet. Lawler and Dos Anjos trade shots. Lawler fights Dos Anjos into the cage. Round 3: The fight continues. Both men are tired, but still fierce. Lawler locks Dos Anjos in the mid-section and both men are brought down to the mat. They’re both visibly sleepy and struggling. Dos Anjos hits Lawler with a few unbending kidney shots. Both men return to their fight and continue the onslaught. Lawler fights Dos Anjos int the cage. Dos Anjos fights back with knees and Lawler counters with unbending shots. Anjos hits Lawler in the side with knees, and Lawler counters with kidney punches. Elbow landed by Dos Anjos. Lawler falls. Dos Anjos mounts Lawler, struggles, but throws some outrageous elbows and forearms. Dos Anjos won’t let up. Lawler ends turn 3 on his back.

Round 4: Dos Anjos dominates much of turn 4 as well, fighting Lawler into the dilemma with a flurry of shots into the corner. Lawler fights back, but Dos Anjos dominates with punches. Dos Anjos kicks him in the conduct and continues the punches. Lawler fights back, but is confused and misses a punch. Dos Anjos counters with a high knee to the jaw to finish the fourth round.

Round 5: The fight wears on. Both men are very tired. Dos Anjos keeps the fight on Lawler, but they’re both very slow. The turn ends. It appears as if Dos Anjos wins.
