Despite only being around for a couple of years, The Meadows has fast determined itself as New York City’s premier music festival, as they have been means to lift in the biggest headliners in the universe for its first two years.
With an simply permitted venue — Citi Field — and as different of a lineup that you’ll see at any festival opposite the country, The Meadows’ second year featured all that a music and food partner could presumably wish from a summer festival.
Similar to last year, The Meadows had the swat diversion on lock, with hip-hop legends such as Jay Z, Nas, and the Gorillaz, as good as up-and-comers such as Future (who brought out Nicki Minaj!) and Migos making appearances.
As for the stone fans out there, stone gods such as the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Weezer done appearances, as good as some of the younger guys like Foster The People or Two Door Cinema Club.
And you know electronic music was well-represented, too, as dubstep master Bassnectar dejected a set, too.
Our personal prominence was the Jay-Z performance. Not only did Hov play songs from 4:44, his newest album, but also went by the murderer’s quarrel of his biggest hits. At some points during his set, the throng was SO hyped that you could literally feel the belligerent shaking.
So either you went The Meadows to see a swat idol like Jay-Z, for the enlightenment of Migos, or since you wanted to headbang to some RHCP, The Meadows had something for everybody distinct any other show on the easterly coast.
You can gamble we’re already counting down the days until next year.
