During the 2016 election, Donald Trump warranted the eager publicity of Neo-Nazis and the alt right. Now a new report published Thursday reveals that the Republican Party depends an tangible S.S. commander among its constituents.

According to the Daily Beast, Michael Karkoc done 3 apart donations to the RNC between Sep 2013 and May 2014 totaling $3,850—after the AP unclosed his impasse in the Ukrainian Self-Defense Legion. Karkoc is wanted in Europe for fight crimes, and prosecutors explain they’re “100 percent” certain he is obliged for grouping the murder of Chlaniow, a encampment in Eastern Poland. A separate AP investigation confirms that his section massacred men, women and children, and that he “was at the stage of the atrocities as the company leader.”

That same report also cites recovered S.S. files indicating Karkoc played a role in the termination of the Warsaw Uprising, a large operation by the Polish subterraneous insurgency to free the collateral from German control. The Nazis wound up killing between 150,000-200,000 civilians before razing the city to the ground.

Karkoc’s son, Andriy, calls the AP’s story “slanderous,” but acknowledges that his father is a “lifelong Republican” who has a picture of Ronald and Nancy Reagan unresolved in his bedroom. “Republicans conflict communists…Under FDR, the White House was penetrated by Soviet agents of influence,” Andriy told the Daily Beast. “I’m presumption [my father] voted Republican [in the 2016 presidential election].”

Now a 98-year-old proprietor of Minneapolis, the elder Karkoc entered the U.S. in 1949 after neglecting to divulge his role in World War II. His family maintains that he’s pang from Alzheimer’s.

The RNC did not respond to the Daily Beast’s ask for comment.
