Over $4.5 million of narcotics seized by Rio Grande Valley Border Patrol agents

EDINBURG, Texas — Border Patrol operations via the Rio Grande Valley outcome in 9 apart analgesic interdictions.

Last week, Rio Grande Valley Sector agents seized scarcely 90 pounds of heroin with an estimated value of over $2.7 million, over 1,700 pounds of pot with an estimated value of over $1.3 million and 17 pounds of glass methamphetamine with an estimated value of over $500,000. The seizures were results of Border Patrol operations along the stream and at Border Patrol checkpoints.

“The joining of the agents to gripping the country protected is clear as they work tirelessly to forestall narcotics from reaching their dictated end in the United States,” pronounced Chief Patrol Agent Manuel Padilla, Jr.
