MARYLAND — Detectives with the Montgomery County Police continue to examine the carnage of an 18-year-old male.
Detectives are identifying the victim as Jose Herrera of an unconfirmed residence in Silver Spring. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner has ruled his death a carnage by mixed gunshot wounds.
On Sunday, Dec 24 at 6:31 p.m., 3rd District officers and Fire and Rescue crew responded to the 1000 retard of Quebec Terrace in Silver Spring for the report of an attack and the sounds of gunshots. First responders located Herrera defunct outward of 1010 Quebec Terrace. He had been shot mixed times.
Patrol officers set up a fringe in the area. A police K9 also attempted to lane the suspect(s) in the area of the shooting. No suspect(s) were located.
