14 Students Shot at Marshall County High School In Kentucky, 2 Killed


BENTON, Kentucky — An 15-year-old male tyro armed with a handgun killed two classmates and harmed 19 some-more at a farming Kentucky high school Tuesday morning.

Officials contend the defunct victims are Bailey Nicole Holt, 15, and Preston Cope, 15. Five of the bleeding sojourn in vicious condition.

WSMV reported: News 4 spoke with primogenitor Misty Green, whose daughter was inside the school during the shooting.

“My daughter was sitting there in the commons area and listened the ‘pop, pop, pop’ and primarily got down and then just satisfied what was going on, so they took out using out of the building as quick as they could,” Green said.

Green conspicuous her daughter, Morgan, is aggrieved after seeing and conference the whole incident.

“Initially she didn’t know what it was, but then she satisfied it was a gun and all of the other students satisfied what it was, and they all just got out of the building as fast as they could. And teachers were grabbing kids up and assisting them get into protected places. And assisting them get outward and get to a protected location,” Green said.

Ethan Derevage, 15, was also in the commons room when shots rang out. He ran into the gym next doorway and transient the building by a side door.

As he was running, the beginner tyro called his mother, Missy Hufford, to come collect him up.

“I know when he called me, he said, ‘Mom there’s been a shooting.’ And we asked if him if he was OK, and he said, ‘I’m running,’” she said. “And we told him we was on my way, and we didn’t even know where he was at the time. we just knew we had to get to him.”

Another teen picked up Ethan Derevage and several other boys and gathering them to a circuitously McDonald’s for safety.

The Kentucky State Police are heading the investigation.
